Discovery of Mathematics

Mathematics, do you know that mathematics is knowledge with many history? Mathematics expanded from B.C period until today and in the future. So, it is possible to found change in there.
Many example about mathematics from long time ago, but that is still used and certained until now. For example we often hear Pythagoras theorem. Pythagoras prove this in B.C period, but this theorem still used until now. Then, from philosopher Aristoteles about silogism that is used in logic until now. Or you want discuss about irrational number discoverer, Hippasus. He prove irrational number with reduction ad absurdum, once again we considered science from B.C period and used in logic now. Euclides Geometry, this book wrote by Euclides, mathematician from Greece ( 300 B.C ). Euclides Geometry also still used. If you will discussed about algebra, don’t forget Al-Khawarizmi, he has been considered Mr. Modern Algebra, although he is mathematician in 750. In trigonometry, formula: Sin (a + b) = Sin a Cos b + Sin b Cos a has been founded by Abul Wafa ( 1020 )and we still used until now. I think many mathematics from long time ago and still used until now.
But, some discovery didn’t exist until now. For example, π which use in circle. In Old Egypt is 3,16. But now, that isn’t used, because we use π = 3,14 ( 22/7 ). But, we must gave appreciate for their. Because, they gave inspiration for us in discover new.
Now, many new discovery about mathematics. And until this day, I have never find discovery from which not connected with discovery from longtime ago.
I think, maybe all discovery from new period connected with discovery from long time ago. Because I think new discovery has characteristic expend previously discovery, although that is can right or wrong. So, although discovery from long time ago is wrong, we must try to change it to be rightness.
From this article, I can conclude that all mathematics discovery very useful for us. We must study hard in order we useful for the future.

Foundation of Mathematics

Mathematics is foundation for many knowledge. But, Mathematics has foundation too. Many opinion about Foundation of Mathematics, such as from Immanuel Kant. There, I Want to tell my opinion about Immanuel Kant’s idea.
Kant said that beginning from mathematics is “Awareness Concerning mathematics meaning” . I agree with his idea. Mathematics is abstract science, its can appear in our mind. If we want to think about mathematics, so our sense shall think mathematics object with reasonable.
If we don’t think that, so mathematics can’t appear. Mathematics didn’t come from anywhere, except from our sense. So, I think Foundation of Mathematics
is our sense.
We must think about mathematics, because that is foundation for us to study mathematics.

Pythagoras and Hippasus

Pythagoras is mathematician and philosopher from Greece ( 582 – 496 B.C ).
Pythagoras explain that a right agled triangle, quadrat of hipotenusa is equals of the total length of salient angle adges quadrat. This theorem called Pythagoras Theorem because Pythagoras has been considered this theorem discoverer. Althought in fact this theorem has been known before, such as mathematician India ( in Sulbasutra Baudhayana and Katyayana ), Old Greece, and Babylon at before Pythagoras born, but Pythagoras is the first person who proof theorem with mathematical. So, he has been considered Pythagoras Theorem discoverer.

Then Hippasus ( mathematician and philosopher from Old Greece ca.500 B.C ), he is Pythagoras’s follower. Previosly, Pythagoras and his followers deem that all number is rational number, or can explained in comparison round number. Then Hippasus explain that √2 is irrational number. He prov with reductio ad absurdum and he succes prov that √2 is irrational number. Hippasus is irrational number discoverer. But, because this discovery, he killed by Pythagoras. Pythagoras does not admitted his philosophy mistake, and he does not opposed Hippasus, althought that is contradicted with his philosophy. And then, Pythagoras kill Hippasus.

Development Of Mathematics

Mathematics History is knowledge which learned mathematics from numbers of time. with mathematics discoveries. Then Pythagoras is mathematician from Greece ( 624 - 550 B.C ). He has been considered Pythagoras Theorm discoverer, althought in fact this theorm has been known bofore. He is tMathematics have been exist since Before Christ ( B.C ) period. It has been beginning from the philosophers ideas.
Mesopotamia, Babylon, old Egypt, and Old Greece are the influential countries in mathematics. Thales is the first person who has been conneted he first person who proved this theorm in mathematical. Therefore, mathematics is the knowledge which have to have proof.
Philosophers, such as Socrates, Plato, Aristoteles, etc also have a role in mathematics development. Their philosophies have been used in many science, such as mathematics. Furthermore spring up many mathematicians with their own teories. Such as in 1900 apperars the modern mathematicians, like Sir Michael Francis Atiyah and Isadore Singer proof Atiyah-Singer Index theorm in 1968. In 21th century also give development in mathematics. They are the people who give contribution for mathematics.
We also have to learn mathematics and try to make discovery in mathematics. So that, we will become the part of mathematics history in the future. No time for laziness.
